| Intake
Forms |
||
| All clients are required to fill in an intake form or review a previous form prior to each session. The purpose of this form is to alert the massage therapist of any new or existing medical conditions and thus shape the massage session to provide maximum benefit to the client. There are certain conditions where massage therapy cannot be administered because it may further aggravate a condition or cause harm. It is imperative therefore, that the massage therapist be informed of all conditions and the vehicle for this is the intake form. | ||
| Pre-Massage Interview |
||
| The client
and massage therapist will have an opportunity to
discuss any issues or health concerns prior to the massage. This
gives the therapist the opportunity to assess the client's condition
relative to the type of massage given. Clients also benefit by
going into the session more aware of the current state of their mind,
body and spirit, thus influencing outcomes. |

| Frequently Asked
Questions |
||
| How often should I
receive massage? |
||
| Once a day,
everyday, for the rest of your life! This would be the
ideal recommendation; however, we realize that this is not practical
for most people. Some clients get massage weekly, biweekly,
monthly, quarterly, semiannually, annually or whenever. A more
practical answer is "as frequently as your schedule and means permit." |
